EASY GOING-GOOD LOOKING-BIG HEART AND EASY TO LOVE That pretty much describes Georgie when you first meet him but the more you get to know him, there more things there are to love. Petfinder will only allow two choices of breeds when inputting these mixed breed dogs, when in truth, most rescue dogs are a mixture of many things and Georgie is no different. While we feel very strongly of his Labrador and Dalmatian genetics, there is probably some Border Collie and a bit of Terrier floating in his veins too and Lord knows what else. Whatever canine cocktail he has floating in his veins, he is a wonderful boy with great manners that is super easy to be around. Georgie is dog friendly, ok with cats that are comfortable with dogs, great on a leash, house trained, really into people and being with them and LOVES to carry his stuffed toys around with him wherever he goes and never tears them up. He is a quick learner, a good traveler and has a personality that is hard to resist. To be with him for even a few minutes is to fall in love with him. Georgie was in an Eastern Washington shelter at one time and pulled out by a dog rescue in that area. He was placed in foster by that rescue where he was taken care of until the rescue disbanded. Without financial support the foster was forced to find other accommodations for Georgie so we stepped in to lend a hand and took Georgie into our rescue community. His foster described Georgie as high energy but we have not seen this yet. He is healthy and happy and enthusiastic but his energy level is not one that requires special attention. He loves to go for walks and to play with other dogs but mostly he just loves to be loved on by humans and is really deserving of one for his very own. He is not opposed to spending an afternoon on the couch watching movies or reading books. As a matter of fact, it was hard to get Georgie to stand up during his photo shoot. He just wanted to lay in the grass and soak up the sun. Make no mistake though, he is always ready for an adventure and an enthusiastic partner, whatever the day brings. Georgie is up to date on vaccinations, including Rabies and Bordatella. He is about 2 years old, weighs 80+lbs so is a big boy (a bit chunky at the moment) microchipped and parasite free. He has been neutered, is in excellent health both in mind and body and is ready for the committed heart of a forever friend or family.
